Who operates this site
This site is operated by Joseph Wolfer under the name Veteran Aviator Disability Education (VADE).
What this site is
VADE provides general educational content about VA disability compensation, with a particular focus on:
- Military aviation
- Aircrew
- Guard and Reserve service
- Aviation-specific documentation
- The intersection of VA disability and aviation medical certification
The purpose of the site is to help veterans understand these systems in general terms.
What this site is not
VADE is not currently accredited to represent veterans before VA.
Nothing on the site constitutes:
- Individualized VA claims advice
- Legal advice
- Medical advice
- FAA medical-certification advice
- Financial advice
The site is educational only and is not a substitute for professional advice tailored to an individual situation.
If you need assistance with an actual VA claim, use a VA-accredited representative. See Accreditation Status for information on finding one.
No professional relationship is created
Using this site does not create a representation relationship, attorney-client relationship, medical-provider relationship, fiduciary relationship, or other professional relationship with VADE.
Subscribing to updates, submitting the Contact form, suggesting a Learn topic, or otherwise communicating through the public website does not create a claim, case, intake, or obligation for VADE to act on anyone’s behalf.
Accuracy of content
VADE articles and educational materials are researched against primary sources such as statutes, regulations, and official guidance as of the date published or last reviewed.
Laws, regulations, agency policy, and guidance change. Time-sensitive material may become outdated.
VADE makes reasonable efforts to keep published material current but does not guarantee that every page reflects the law, regulation, policy, or guidance in effect on the date a visitor reads it.
Where timing matters, verify current requirements against official sources.
Content ownership
VADE owns the original text, articles, graphics, and other materials it creates unless otherwise noted.
Third-party material, government material, photographs, quotations, source documents, and other externally created content remain subject to their own rights, licenses, public-domain status, and attribution requirements.
Visitors may read, link to, share links to, and use VADE content for personal, non-commercial purposes.
Republishing or redistributing substantial portions of VADE’s original content elsewhere requires permission unless otherwise permitted by law.
